“Stealing the draft cuban air for a touch of sensual colour arises a unique Brazillian Beauty to challenge some of the staples, her name… Isabeli Fontana. An unspoken veteran to the modelling industry we share a snapshot of a classic shoot which embodies the esscence of a steamy colour-vibrant cuban affair. The images showcased are from the Vogue Paris June/July 2011 issue, which pays homage to the Vogue Italia February 1989 where an ultra bronzed Linda Evangelista embodies the va-va-voom of the female form. Linda, captured by photographer Steve Meisel and Isabeli, brought to life by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, both elude vibrancy, heat and passion. Enjoy.”

We just lost our breath viewing this ridiculous collection from Chanel! The Bombay inspired collection won’t be available to purchase until 2012 but is well and truly worth the wait. Unveiled at Chanel‘s Grand Palais home, the tables where decorated in the most lavish of high tea silver, with crystal decanters and candles. Combining the exuberance of Paris femininity with the intricate detailing of beautiful Indian embroidery this collection has left us speechless. Enjoy it for yourself.

Going specifically to show our support to the students of The AICD (Australian Insititute Of Creative Design) we were excited to view the parade! Oh Hello tranformed from what used to be ‘The Monastery’ is becoming quite the venue for fashion parades. The new interior is adorned with bright multicoloured lanterns hanging from the ceiling and may no longer be the place to ‘get sweaty’ but… perfectly fits a runway.
The graduating styling students for 2011 put together a showcase of styled looks from established designers new season collections. Showing everything from swimwear to evening gowns, this parade had enough versatility to please most fashion followers in Brisbane. As a graduated student from AICD we wish all the students the best of luck with their future endeavours.

Arriving at the mei + picchi’s mannequin showroom the Assiere launch felt excitingly different from previous launch parties. The room was lit brightly on arrival with guests delicately sipping on wine whilst mingling around the naked mannequins. Amongst the chatter of Brisbane’s legitimate fashion followers sneak peaks of lace and lingerie glided through the crowds.
Upon closer inspection the gorgeous models walked their way around the room whilst tapas and delicious food was being passed around to guests. The gathering was intimate yet sophisticated, but still had that necessary sexuality, which was provided by a performance from a burlesque dancer.
Assiere is exactly what ladies need in Brisbane, as some local women don’t feel comfortable purchasing lingerie from international online stores, but still want to wear something more outrageous than what K-Mart & Target can supply. Assiere provides the best of both worlds – bringing exclusive international lingerie to the fingertips of Australian women.
